Abstrait:

The new KL International Airport is situated approximately 60 km south of the capital, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The facility is designed to be a major regional hub, with an initial capacity of 25 million passengers per year and capacity for future extension up to 60 million. The airport buildings have been designed to be prestigious landmark structures that will reflect Malaysia's identity as a modern, developed country retaining traditional cultural forms. The Main Terminal Building (MTB) is a 5-storey structure approximately 192 m x 230 m. At the rear of the MTB is the adjacent Contact Pier, the main passenger circulation area for domestic and short-haul international flights. This is a 3-storey building approximately 900 m long x 28 m wide, with a central node area connecting to the MTB and containing a fourth level observation area.
