Prestressed concrete egg-shaped digesters and modified egg-shaped digesters have significant operational and maintenance advantages in waste water treatment plants. These advantages are briefly presented, and the design and construction techniques of a plant in Taiwan are described. Computer-assisted design processes are also discussed. |
