Schlumberger Cambridge Research Centre

The second of Schlumberger Oilfield Services research centres is based in Cambridge, England. The building was designed by Michael Hopkins and Partners in 1985 and centred around a drilling rig test station covered by a suspended PTFE coated glass fibre membrane roof. The central span of the building is 27 metres wide and flanked by two rows of glass walled research offices. In 1992 the building was extended to the south with a neighbouring two story block of offices also designed by Michael Hopkins and Partners.
