Astoria Boulevard Subway

The platforms after the 2019 renovation. The MTA reopened the station on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, after a nine-month closure of the station. During this critical work, the station was closed to service so that crews could demolish the old mezzanine rebuild it to prevent strikes by trucks or other over-height vehicles traveling beneath the elevated station and track structure. With the newly rebuilt mezzanine completely, Astoria Blvd will remain open as work on the other phase of the work continues. This part of the project includes installation of four new elevators and other accessibility features.
