Abstract:

Erection and conversion of the largest Goliath Crane of the world - Welding technique for the re-use of a technologic producer good.

A 30 year-old Goliath Crane for ship-building was sold to Werft Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), along with two slewing cranes, by a Swedish company. It was knocked down and dismantled at Malmö, Sweden and transported by ship to Ulsan, South Korea, in order to be re-erected and re-used for a newly developed "Ground-Shipbuilding-System" in the place of real estate of an offshore yard.
