Abstract:

A new water treatment plant in New York City is expected to strengthen the city’s water system, address local flooding problems, and accelerate groundwater cleanup efforts. The full-scale project will demonstrate the feasibility of producing a consistent supply of high-quality drinking water from New York City’s groundwater system while simultaneously alleviating local groundwater flooding problems.
