Abstract:

For 80 years: Mud blasting in traffic building

In the middle of the 1930s the southern part of the Berlin circular highway was built and starts working between two accesses at the end of 1938 after a three year building period. At this section a mud collection had to been crossed at Rangsdorf Lake. This was the beginning of an technological breakthrough for a very new building method in Germany, the mud blasting.
Especially near Berlin there are a lot of such collections, due at least to last ice age.
