Buckling of bridge supports with elastomeric links. Dimensionless coefficients

This paper is a contribution to the theorical treatment of the buckling of a pillar with straigth axis, being elastically linked at both ends. Dimensionless relationships among the variables of the problem are proposed in order to solve the implicit equation which provides the fundamental unknown value. So the buckling span and the critical load are immediately and easily achieved.
