New DIN 4103-1 for Internal non-loadbearing partitions

DIN 4103-1 "Internal non-loadbearing partitions - Part 1: Requirements and verification" is one of the fundamental codes for interior construction. It applies in principle to all types and materials, that is masonry walls as well as drywall constructions or partitions made of glass. The previous version of 1984 had a surprisingly long validity. Due to changes in the surrounding codes, especially the introduction of the Eurocodes, an adaptation of DIN 4103-1 was necessary. The article describes the main differences in the new version compared to the previous state.
