Abstract:

Design of two wing-like roofs in monocoque building technique for central bus station Schwäbisch Hall, Germany.

Two roofs are part of the project ZOB (central bus station) Schwäbisch Hall. Appearance and form of these extremely slender wing-like roofs in monocoque building technique have been adjusted to urban as well as architectural planning aspects. This article describes the structural design process for both roof structures as well as their structural behaviour.
