Simplified method to determine the temperature distribution on composite columns subjected to fire. Application to the study of the materials quality influence

This work deal about the simplified determination of the temperature distribution in a section of steel columns filled with barreinforced concrete. The work is based in the simplified methods of Eurocode 4 part 1-2, these methods are able to predict the ultimate axial load in case of fire for these kind of columns, and the complex Fourier equation of heating transmission can be neglected. With this procedure can be made sensitive analysis of parameters like the quality of the materials and his influence about the ultimate axial load in case of fire.
