Whereas the history of steel bridges started with the beginning of mass mobility in the 60s and early 70s of the last century as well as the reunification in the late 90s, our century is now battled with completely different conditions. A new area has started and is challenging us with all its pros and cons. The construction of new highways will be reduced to the closing of gaps.
