A summary of the author's dissertation is given. Main topics are the properties of Bentokies (mixed-grained material made out of sandy gravel, caolinitic clay and bentonite) and an extended concept for proving the reliability of Bentokies-sealings, which allows for example the consideration of creep and self-sealing properties of the sealing material as well as the sealing thickness. The proving scheme may be used for any mineral sealing liner. |
