Abstract:

The Adelaide Convention Centre is a 48 USD million project, comprising an extension to the existing Centre and an Exhibition Hall to facilitate an additional 7200 m 2 of exhibition space. A appropriate structural system to facilitate construction of the building over the existing railway lines had to be established. The final building is striking with a 16.5 m high glazed facade on the northern outlook facing the River Torrens.
