Abstract:

Seismic response spectrum analysis of a large-span hangar is performed for the cases of one-, two- and three-dimensional seismic inputs, and the corresponding structural responses are compared with each other. The results show that multi-dimensional seismic inputs have different effects on seismic responses for different parts of the hangar. Based on them, some suggestions for design of large- span hangars are proposed.
