Abstract:

In this paper an innovative spherical tall building is presented in its structural and energetic aspects. Particularly, the building structure (with a resisting frame made of meridians and parallels beams) and its behavior under static and dynamic loads in two different configurations, having different geometry at the lower levels, are analyzed. At the same time, the energy analysis shows the spherical building advantages in comparison to other typical tall buildings having different geometry.
