Notes

The bridge has 5 circular line arches, a 32.7 meter span and a deviation of 4.3 meters and an upper deck and extreme section formed by an arch with a carpanel line of 22.1 meters span. The deck is 7.9 meters wide. The bridge shows deterioration in the concrete in the vaults, girders and deck.

For rehabilitation & widening, an exhaustive geotechnical and materials study was carried out to define the structural safety of the bridge and above all of the vaults of the principal arches. A widening of the roadway was designed substituting the girders and deck of the existing bridge for a new structure which has a similar appearance to the original bridge. The majority of the structural elements were designed to be prefabricated on site. PEDELTA formed the construction management team and the construction company was Freyssinet.
