Great Temple of Ramesses II

Entry to the Great Temple of Ramesses the Great at Abu Simbel.
Abu Simbel: Temples of Ramesses II and Nefertari (to the right). Originally located on the banks of the Nile and carved in rock, the construction of Aswan High Dam threatened to flood the temples in Nasser Lake. UNESCO had the temples moved 65 meters higher and 210 meters West of their original location.
