Mega Bridge (II)

The Mega Bridge crosses twice the Chao Phraya river. The four pylons for the 702 m and 582 m long bridge sections reach heights of 173 m.
The PERI formwork solution allowed efficient construction of the demanding pylon geometry with complicated three-dimensional intersections due to forward and reverse inclinations as well as tapering cross-sections along with chamfered edges.
The efficient PERI formwork solution, based on the ACS self-climbing system ensures a fast construction sequence building 173 m high pylons for this spectacular bridge construction in the leading economical powerhouse in South-East Asia.
Weekly concreting cycles were carried out in the upper area (Upper Leg). The inevitable adjustment work due to the design of the cross-sections could be done from the horizontally-positioned PERI ACS platforms.
