GEWI ® Piles

The Characteristics:

The GEWI ® Pile is a drilled micropile with a steel core made of GEWI ® Bar with a hot rolled, continuous thread on both sides (GEWI ® Thread). The steel core is sheathed by cement grout which simultaneously acts as corrosion protection and transfers loads into the soil or rock.

  • Robust coarse thread remains threadable even when dirty or damaged
  • The pile can be cut off and spliced at any given point
  • Excellent load transfer into concrete structures by means of anchoring elements
  • The coarse GEWI ® Thread insures maximum bond between steel and cement grout
  • Tensile loads, compressive loads and alternating loads can be absorbed in equal measures

The Equipment:

  • DYWIDAG -Systems International is an accredited market leader and system supplier for high quality geotechnical systems
  • For installing GEWI ® Piles, DSI offers comprehensive equipment such as jacks, hydraulic pumps as well as test equipment for quality assurance
  • As an additional service, DSI offers professional support during installation worldwide
